Mariposa Ridge Retreat is a ten-acre hilltop home with stunning panoramic views of the snow capped peaks in Yosemite and the quaint village below. Located just 1.6 miles outside of the historic Gold mining County seat of Mariposa, the "Mother of California's Counties." We are 38 miles from Yosemite National Park, ten minutes from the stunning Merced River which winds along Highway 140 for 23 miles into the Park. One of the most scenic drives on planet Earth.

The home was built in 2005 and features a King Suite, a Queen bedroom and a full-size double futon in the third bedroom. Two full baths with a double-sized soaking tub in the Master bath. There is a 500 square foot deck with brand new six foot circular HOT SPRINGS Spa overlooking the Mariposa Valley along with picnic table and barbecue. The water comes from a deep mountain well fed by year-round Sierra snowpack and is the sweetest you will ever drink! Roam the ten hilltop acres along with deer and wild birds of every description.

Bring your clothes and food (linens and towels are provided) and come home to peaceful mountain air and escape the rat race below. Mariposa is the ONLY California County without a single Traffic Light!

The home has all amenities, TV, VCR, DVD, Stereo, washer/dryer, Chefs kitchen fully equipped with gas range
and broiler, dishwasher, pantry, seating for 8 at the Cherrywood dining table or BBQ outside on the 500 sf deck to taste the fantastic views of the peaks of Yosemite Park. Soak in the brand new HOT SPRINGS spa while you sip our complimentary Champagne or Sparkling cider provided to guests on their first night.
The King is a Beautyrest Pillowtop, the Queen is a Tempurpedic space foam dream, and the full size double futon in bedroom #3 sleeps very comfortably. There is a queen inflatable for added visitor sleeping. There is a library of eclectic volumes and lots of old fashioned board games for the family. We have lots of classic kids and family movies. The home has central heat and air conditioning. Most of the year, the windows are open and the mountain breezes do just fine.
The living room is furnished with comfortable, casual elegance. Artwork from Ansel Adams captures the Sierra spirit in most every room.

Activities (on site or nearby): Where to start? Hike the miles of trails in Yosemite National Park, just 38 miles away. Shop the quaint village galleries and fine dining in Mariposa, just 3 minutes away. Fish or waterski on Lake McClure or Bass Lake, 25 or 45 minutes away. Try your luck and see Vegas style entertainment at CHUKCHANSI Casino in Coursegold, 35 minutes away!
Visit the California Gem and Mineral Museum and see the biggest piece of Gold ever found in California at the County Fairgrounds. Pan for Gold in the Merced river, just 10 minutes away! Go for an exciting whitewater rafting trip down the mighty Merced River. Or, just relax in the brand new HOT SPRINGS Spa with a good book on the deck overlooking miles and miles of Sierra mountain splendor!
 

Our new "horse hotel" is now in place for your steed to enjoy the mountain air. A new Barnmaster three stall barn is available and there is nothing quite as beautiful as riding the wonderful trails of Yosemite.

$185/night, (April thru October) two night minimum (except on holidays) for 4 people, extra people, $15 each up to a maximum 8 people. Infants and toddlers under 2 yrs stay free.
$1250/week in season (April thru September)
$1100/week off season (October thru March)

3-7 night minimum on Holidays, depending on demand and holidays.

Winter rates $165/night November 1st thru March 1st. (Holidays excluded, does not apply to discounted weekly rate).
PLEASE NOTE: A 10 % county occupancy tax will be applied to all rates. A $250 deposit is required to hold your reservation. This will be returned to you within 14 days of departure minus damage and extraordinary cleaning fees. Full payment for stay is due 60 days prior to arrival.
A $100.00 NON-REFUNDABLE cleaning fee will be charged
